Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress most well-known for her roles in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Born the only child to Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her professional career in the show business at an early age. By the time she turned sixteen, she had secured leading roles in several shows on television. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. The film was nominated for an Oscar and won critical and commercial great success. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominees featuring models. In the past, Alexandra was involved in numerous noteworthy national and international projects. Among others, these projects comprise British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She has also been an adjudicator at the Transylvania International Film Festival as in the Cannes Film Festival.
